    In letter written by G.W. Kinney to Eleanor Galland 05 APR 1881 he states that
    Mary is not well and unable to dress herself. G.W's letter from Chalk Land Post
    Office, St Clair Co, MO. Said they had moved there in 1880 from Pike Co, MO.

    George W Kinney writes to Ellen (Eleanor Galland) he moved in 1881
    from Pike County, MO to Chalk Land Post Office, St Clair Co. Mo and lives on a
    farm owned by J. Sam Brown, his step-son, who lives in St. Louis. His oldest
    daughter, Mrs. Helen Safferty, lives on a farm in Pike County, MO near New
    Hartford P.O. The next daughter, Mrs Huldah Moran, lives in Middletown,
    Montgomery Co, MO. The next dau, Mrs Ida Martin, lives in Schell City, Vernon
    Co, Mo. The youngest daughter--unmarried--Emma Kinney,is attending Hardin
    College, Mexico, MO, studying to be a school mistress.
    He calls himself an old bald headed, greybearded man, perfectly willing and
    active for his age and could enjoy life highly if the world would treat him
    well. (He is 64)
    Family still hoping to get Dutch inheritance.
    His wife has been poorly, not able to dress herself. (DCM Vol 322 p 109)

    Mr Kinney's agent in New York assures him they will receive something from
    the inheritance within the next year. He will share with her.

    The inheritance is from the Webber family in Europe through the Bogardus
    family in America.
