Text: Mrs Anna E Fearon of this city died Last Sat (11/11/1911) in Ogdensburg where she had been staying about a month. The news of her death came as a great shock to her many friends. She had not been well for over a year but was about as usual until only a short time ago. The remains were brought to this city and the funeral was held from the home of Henry Fearon(nephew of her deceased husband George Fearon(2) at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, Rev C.S.Richardson officiating. Burial was made in Glenwood Cemetary.
Mrs Fearon was born in Bermuda 56 years ago and had resided in this city for over a quarter of a century. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and prominent in church work. For many years sshe was Superintendent of the Home Department. She was also prominent in club circles.
Mrs Fearon was thje widow of the late George Fearon and is survived by one son, Attorney George R Fearon of Syracuse, one sister Mrs Kutall of Durham, England and an Aunt, Miss Charlow of Syracuse. She was a woman of high culture and refinement, a woman of ability and a student. She exemplified a high type of Christianity and her deeds of charity and mercy were many but always done in a way few knew them. Her wide circle of friend will miss her greatly and extend heartfelt sympathy to those she leaves behind.
