    ecclesiastical side. In the goods Of Robert Swinhoe deceased. To the
    honorable Sir Lawrence Peel Knight chief justice and his companions
    justices Of the said court

    The humble petition Of Caroline Swinhoe the widow Of the deceased above
    so named

    Showeth - That Robert Swinhoe the deceased above so named late Of
    Calcutta one Of the attorneys Of this honorable court and a British
    subject departed this life on the seventeenth day Of February last at
    Calcutta aforesaid having first duly made and published his last will and
    testament in writing where Of he appointed your petitioner sole executrix
    That the said Robert Swinhoe left property and effects within the
    jurisdiction Of the honorable court to be administered to
    Your petitioner therefore humbly prays your lordships for an order that
    she may be sworn in executrix Of the last will and testament Of the said
    Robert Swinhoe deceased and that probate may be granted to her
    accordingly
    And your petitioners shall ever pray

    Robert Swinhoe late Of Calcutta aforesaid deceased maketh oath and saith
    that the said Robert Swinhoe one Of the attorneys Of this honorable court
    and a British subject departed this life on the seventeenth day Of
    February (instant) Calcutta aforesaid having first duly made and
    published his will and testament in writing which is hereunto annexed and
    marked with the letter B and thereof appointed this deponent sole
    executrix and this deponent further saith that he Robert Swinhoe left
    property and effects within the jurisdiction Of this honorable court to
    be administered unto

    gentleman one Of the attorneys Of this honorable court maketh oath and
    saith that on the twenty first day Of October in the year Of Christ one
    thousand eight hundred and thirty seven he this deponent was present and
    did see the above named Robert Swinhoe late Of Calcutta aforesaid
    deceased sign seal and execute the paper writing hereunto annexed and
    marked with the letter A in the presence Of him this deponent Of Joseph
    (Aratoon) Carnell and one Ramchund Bose who together with this deponent
    at the request Of the said Robert Swinhoe and in his presence and in the
    presence Of each other set and subscribed their respective names as
    witnesses thereto

    This is the last will and testament Of me Robert Swinhoe Of the town Of
    Calcutta gentleman. I give devise and bequeath all my real and personal
    estate and property whatsoever and wheresoever unto my dear wife Caroline
    her heirs and assigns for ever. And I do hereby nominate constitute and
    appoint my said wife Caroline guardianship Of my dear children and sole
    executrix Of this my last will and testament. Hereby revoking all former
    wills by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
    seal this twenty first day Of October in the year Of our lord one
    thousand eight hundred and thirty seven
