In this book on The History of Cheshire on page 72 & 126 is a tree "Cotton of Cotton" take n from Booth's Pedigrees. This material was researched by Mrs. Pat Standring of CA and a cop y of pertinent material was sent to this author in 1990. pages 12-13, 64-67, 71-72, 106-107 , 122-126, 206, 210-212, 449. He may be the son of Judas Kelly ? at the time of Ric 1 and John (1198/99). The information in this source 58 is very vague, at least earlier than John Cotton RIN811. Many of the lines are dotted indicating questionable data. This is understandable when one co nsiders the era involved; one is dealing with records of the 12 to 15th century. Some of the dotted lines for an individual show either of 2 parents. Due to this vagueness and in some cases there is a conflict with the ancestors for John RIN811 shown in other sources, 57 an d Harleian V21, we have not tied the two families together even though there is no doubt that they should be tied together, at some point or another.
