    My great great grandfather's brother was Colin Paterson, a surgeon with the East India Company. His wife was Harriet Annette Ross and her sister Annie Playfair Ross was Heber Drury's first wife. Their daughter Annie Louisa was staying with Harriet in Edinburgh at the time of the 1871 census.
