Eldest daughter and co heir of father.
Nothing in about this marriage in the Visitation of Somerset 1623 re Ken family (maybe it was after 1623).
Information about later generations of the family:
?When Richard Newman purchased Sparkford Manor and the two Cadbury estates in 1610, he was still a young man only 26 years. It would appear (from information on Campbell Newman's website) that the money for their purchase came from his second wife "Elizabeth de Guise Perry, of Castle Kenn, Somerset, sole heiress of the fortune of Christopher Perry and Elinor de Guise. This marriage to the grand-daughter of Sir William Guise of Elmore, Bart. Royal, established his children in court circles close to their distant cousins Charles I and Queen Henriette Marie."
Richard died in 1664 and is buried in Fifehead where a stone in the small North Chapel is inscribed with a memorial to him.?
Walter Devereux?s grandmother, Lettice Dudley Countess of Leicester, wrote to Robert Cecil, Earl of Salisbury, in 1608 to assist in arranging his marriage to ?Lady Stallenge?s daughter.? This is most likely the daughter of Lady Florence Stallenge. She had two daughters, Margaret and Elizabeth by Sir Christopher Kenn. After he died in 1593, Florence married her second husband, Nicholas Stallenge. The daughter most likely referred to in the letter was Margaret who ended up marrying Sir William Guise in 1608 [or 1592?], and died before 1612 after bearing him a single son and heir.
