    His will, dated Jan. 6, 1544-5, mentions wife Margery, eldest son John; sons William and Robert; daughters Margaret and Joane; daughter Alice not of age; and son-in-law Alexander Togwell [7 Alen]
    He married first about 1500, Alice, daughter of John Toose of Taunton.
    He married second about 1540 Margery _____, who died in 1550. In her will, dated June 1, 1548, she mentions "the three children of my son William Hill"; children of Alexander Togwell; son-in-law John Whyte; Sir John Hill and his sister Joane; son Robert Hill; late husband Roger Hill [5 Burke.]
