Peter?s eighth daughter Catherine married Sir Thomas Cheke of Pirgo, Essex.

? Following ownership by the Crown, Chicksands Priory and lands were sold to Richard Snowe whose son, Daniel, bequeathed it to Mary Osborne. In 1598 title to the Chicksands estate passed to the Osbornes who held it in the family until 1936.?
Can find no reference to Tyld Hall other than in relation to this family.

The portrait of Mr Peter Osborn, died 1592, by Sir Antonio Moore, is described as "bust nearly full faced, furred mantle, close ruff,black cap. It is described in Lyson's Magna Britannia, Seats of Gt Britain and The Ladies Field. It was displayed at the 3rd National Portrait Exhibition, Kensington,1868, by courtesy of Sir George Robert Osborn (1813-92), 6th Baronet of Chicksands Priory.
