    Was judicial factor loco absentis to the Easter Elchies estate from Nov 1828 when James WIlliam Grant, 3rd of Elchies, who was in the East Indies, succeeded. It seems he continued to act in that role after James William appointed his son William, who was in Scotland, to act. A court case resulted... (Grant v Cameron June 24 1835)
