Name: Joane or Johanna Fabian 1
Burial: St. Margaret's Lothbury, London
Change Date: 1 JUN 2009
John Fettiplace was the second husband of Joane Fabian, her first husband being Robert Horne, Alderman of London. She also married as her 3rd husband, John Estbury (d 1507) of Eastbury and Letcombe Regis (who has a brass effigy on his tomb at Lambourn, Berks).
Ashmole, who drew the monument of John Estbury in Lambourn church, shows, on its south side, a shield (now missing) giving Estbury impaling Ermine three fleurs-de-lys and a bordure [gules] (for Fabian) which he also shows as being in a window in the manor halls of Childrey and East Shefford. The arms of Fabian are also found in Childrey Church.
Robert Fabyan ?The well-known Chronicler? was Master of the Drapers 1495-6 - does this suggest a connection between him and Joanna whose husband was Draper?
