He held the ?manor? of Bradford. His dau and heir Dorothy married John Hall (d 1597) of Hall?s manor, Bradford.
It would be natural to assume that the Rogers manor thus passed to the Halls, but during the first half of the 17th century an estate described as the manor of Bradford was held by members of the Rogers family.
Anthony Rogers of Bradford on Avon d. 1583 m. Ann Wroughton b. 1507 d. of Sir William Wroughton. The tomb of Sir William Wroughton who died in 1559, has a canopy and inscription in a fine strapwork cartouche, can be seen at the Wiltshire, Bradford-on-Avon, Holy Trinity Church.
Her sister, Dorothy Wroughton, m. 1566/1567, Sir John Thynne of Longleat, Knight. d. of Dorothy.
Lancelot Lisle died and his manorial rights passed to his widow Anne who then married Anthony Rogers, son of Anthony Rogers and Dorothy Ernely.
