After the death of William Toft, Joan married Thomas Vernon, about the year 1316, and after the death of Thomas Vernon Joan Lostock married, William Hallum of Hallum, in Newton juxta Daresbery, in the year 1337.
How does this fit with Hugh Hallum b abt 1301 (qv), who had no male heirs? At a pinch William perhaps could be Hugh?s son, and had no issue? However unlikley that he would have married a wife in 1337 who was old enough to have already had two previous husbands.
