In Testamenta Vetusta there is an abstract of Amy Brent's, née Rosmanderos, will, pp. 536-7 in which she is recorded as writing on the 3rd May 1516:
"to my son John Brent a little bowl of silver gilt double, with cover, &c.; to my daughter his wife; to Margaret Brent the daughter of my son John Brent; my little daughter Amye Brent..."
In the context of the "little daughter Amy", the 1530-1 Visitation of Kent, p. 3, shows that John Brent and Anne Berkeley had a daughter "Avy" who would have been Amy Brent's grand-daughter.
The trouble with this will is her reported use of "daughter" to refer to what we now call daughter-in-law and, probably, grand-daughter. I do not know when the will was proved, let alone when Amy Brent died.
The records give the name of the wife of Sir Alexander as Elizabeth, daughter of Rosmanderos, an heiress.
Ann or Amy, daughter and heir of Rossmandress of Devon.
