William de Oddingeseles is said to have given Forshaw, Warwickshire, with the right to hold a court leet there, to his younger son Nicholas in the latter half of the 13th century. Another William, probably son of Nicholas, was lord of Forshaw in 1309, and a later Nicholas with Joan his wife in 1386 bought land here from Richard atte Ruyding and Elizabeth. (fn. 166) Margaret the daughter and heir of this Nicholas married John Waldeif.
