Vache Manor in Chalfont St. Giles was conveyed by the trustees in 1411 to William Whaplode, who by his will made and proved in November 1447 directed his executors to sell it for a reasonable sum to Richard Restwold, with whom he was connected through his mother, Elizabeth the widow of William Restwold. [Eliz. married 2nd William Whaplode snr, d 1398.]
