Name: Mazra de Secheville
Change Date: 14 SEP 2010
Sister of Henry de Secheville.
Of Searchfield Farm, Charford, Hale Parish, Hants.
Searchfield is a manorial name commemorating the de Secheville family, who have not, however, been recorded in connection with Charford.
In 1196 Baldwin Giffard claimed with his cousins Jordan Dabernon and Margaret de Pilland, Prioress of Cannington, the Manor of Goodleigh in opposition to William Briewer, a close associate of King John, in right of his mother Mazra, as heir to her brother Henry de Secheville and her uncle, Gilbert de Albamara.
