He married, secondly, Gille Power, daughter of Richard Power, 4th Baron Le Power and Coroghmore and Catherine Barry, in 1615.
He died intestate and his estate was administered to his principal creditor on 20 July 1631.
In 1600 he was in active rebellion against the English.
He succeeded to the title of 16th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw [I., c. 1295] on 12 August 1600.
On 28 October 1603 he was pardoned. He was a commissioner in Kerry for raising money for the army in 1627.
He appears to have always been suspect of treason throughout his life, and was twice imprisoned in the London.
