His death date is taken from a descent of the manor of Yapton given in the Sussex VCH. Ellinor is not mentioned, but given her marriage place and date, and the fact her father and grandfather were both William, I have made the connection.

Ellinor is said to be sister of Henry Edmonds, in the will of her husband John Racton.

This William had a son Henry (not shown on SAC tree) who died 1675 [after the date of John Racton?s will, in which he was mentioned], whose heir was his brother John who died without issue in 1688 and was succeeded by his sister Charity and her husband Lawrence Eliot, who at his death in 1726 settled the estate of Yapton on Samuel and John Marsh.

There are memorial plaques on the walls on either side of the altar at Yapton, and one refers to (William?s daughter) Charity Edmonds?s ancestors having been of ?Bayley?s Court, adjacent?, meaning Baillifscourt, Climping.
