    Monteforte Irpino, Avellino, Campania - Italy: During the Anjou period it was owned by the Montfort family. Guido de Montfort lived in this beautiful place, but in 1270 he killed at Viterbo, in the Chiesa del Gesł, Henry, son of king Richard of England. Therefore king Charles of Anjou confiscated all the Montfort possessions and gave them to the Orsini family, the last earls of Nola, who also lost everything after their rebellion to Charles V.
    Amongst the prisoners at the battle of Evesham were Guy de Montfort, a younger son.
