    Part of the manor of Castle Combe, Wilts, was in 1309 bought by Lord Badle[s]mere. The land descended to his daughter, wife of Sir Jon Tiptoft. Their heir was Sir Robert Tiptoft who died in 1372 leaving no male heirs. According to documentation, there were four co-heiresses to the estate: Millicent, wife of Sir John Fastolf, with the manor of Castle Combe. Nicholas Samborn was one of the other heirs, but unsure why.
