    Doris Claudine Yuskis, 95, of Warsaw, IL, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 1:57 PM at River Hills Village, Keokuk. She was born on January 30, 1921 in Rushville, IL, a daughter of Homer and Cressa Mae Carey Acker. She married Alex F. Yuskis on December 15, 1941 in Moline, IL. He preceded her in death on February 27, 1997.
    Doris is survived by one daughter: Deborah Mulch of Burlington, IL; two sons: Rodney (Denise) Yuskis of Warsaw, IL and Stephen Yuskis of Fort Madison, IA; one brother: Lyle Acker of Quincy, IL; one sister: Marjorie Kazukauskas of Keokuk, IA; grandchildren: Brigitte (Daniel) Nettesheim, Tara (Christian) Boller, Courtney Yuskis, Brock (Ciara) Yuskis and Mia Mulch; and great grandchildren: Victoria, Elisabeth, and Alex Nettesheim; Damen, Delaney, Brooks, and Bennett Boller; and Scarlett, Rock, and Stetson Yuskis.
    She was preceded in death her parents, her husband, sisters: Glenna Sheffler and Dorothy Wepner, and five brothers: Laverne, Paul, Junior, Marshall, and Ron Acker.
    Doris and her family farmed in rural Warsaw, IL for many years. Doris and Alex raised three of her younger siblings after the death of their parents, in addition to their three children. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warsaw where she was active in the Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed crocheting and loved to cook, especially meals for her children, grandchildren and anyone who happened to stop by at meal time. She was well known for her homemade cinnamon rolls and pies. Doris was a member of the Warsaw American Legion Auxiliary since 1948. She was also a long time member of the Warsaw Saddle Club.
    Services will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Thomas Szydlik as celebrant. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery in Warsaw, Illinois.
    Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 9:30 till the time of service at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Fellowship Hall in Warsaw, Illinois.
    Memorials have been established for Sacred Heart Catholic Church, River Hills Village Activity Fund, or in memory of Doris Yuskis with checks written to Rod Yuskis.
