    The death of Walter J Van Wiggeren, a highly honored and respected resident of this village, died at his home, 352 Oswego street, yesterday morning. Mr. Van Wiggeren was born in Marsum, Holland, November 12, 1856. In 1882 he was induced by the late Salanton Hoxie, the noted Holstein cattle expert, to come to this country and for a number of years he was engaged in agricultural pursuits in the vicinity of Edmeston and also New York Mills. At the latter place he was a charter member of and ? Worker in the building up of the Dutch Reformed Church. For the past 17 years he had resided in Ilion, where he had been in the employ of the Remington Arms Company. Since living in the village, he has been a faithful worker in the First Presbyterian Church, in which for 14 years he had held the office of elder, and his absence will be keenly felt. March 18, 1883, he was united in marriage with Dieuke Syletra of Beeigum, Holland. Besides his wife, there survive three sons; Allen J, Walter M and Richard C and two daughters , Mrs. I.D. Edwards and R Jennie Van Wiggeren, all of whom reside in this village, also two brothers, John Van Wiggeren of Vernon Center and Henry Van Wiggeren of Clinton and one sister, Mrs. Frank Kipers of Whitesboro.

    The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o´clock. The Rev. C. N. Douglass officiating.
