Noted to be a very gentle lady, and very devoted to husband and family. They had nine children: six boys, three girls.
Pre-1924 Arch and Ollie lived in Knox, Wilbarger, and Baylor Counties.
They bought a small farm just northeast of Seymour. This was sold to buy a farm just west of the Plainview Community. This farm was lost during hard times. Arch tried owning a service station, then a hamburger place, then share cropping. None of these worked out well.
The family moved back to Seymour to the little farm they once owned. The two older sons were married by thistime. Arch worked at the cotton gin and wherever else he could to find work. The family moved from Seymour to Richland to Red Springs to Richland to Red Springs to Levelview and back to Plainview.
When Joe Cox hired Arch to work for the county, things began to look up. The family moved back to Seymour. Due to a long illness that Arch incurred, the three younger boys had to drop out of school to work.
They sent four sons and a son-in-law to war during WW II. After the war things got better. The two younger daughters got high school educations.

The project started in earnest during the 1960's and has continued sporadically from then on with help by various family members and a lot of friends. Oral and documented family information was complied by Linda Bianchi nee Hooper and Barbara Hooper nee Crosby, later augmented with additions by Lee and Cathy nee Hooper Galloway. A special Thank You to Michele Yvonne Hayward Tate and her family and to Amy Holtgrewe Haertling and her family, for their generous help. The project continues to be updated and expanded by Linda and Mike Bianchi.
Not all of the source data is listed simply because the data is a compilation from many different sources, most which were family oral history records. Some data will have individuals or groups listed as the source of information. While these persons should be credited and are thanked for making significant contributions to this work, they should by no means be construed as being the only source for that particular data or as the only person to have worked on that line.
