Named Margaret W. Boyd (not likely Bar) a niece to have one fetherbed... Who is this niece? Louise Crowder called her a puzzle and suggested that she may be the daughter of the sister Mary Wylie who was age 17 when she arrived Dec 1767 on the Earl of Donegal with Margit and family.
Then who is the ___ Boyd who married Mary Wylie? Or did a daughter of Francis Wylie, James Wylie or William Wylie marry ___ Boyd?
A Charles Boyd, not her son, died 26 Sep 1844 aged 86 thus born between 27 Sep 1757 and 26 Sep 1758 or 1757/8. Her son Charles died 23 Oct 1828 age 50 thus born between 24 Oct 1777 and 23 Oct 1778. His brother John was named the eldest son in their father's will and John was born 1761/2 and the next son William was born 1766.
Louise Crowder believes Margaret Wylie is the second wife of David Boyd and she likely is correct! Constructing a timeline for Margit.
Margit arrived with her parents and siblings on the Earl of Donegal Dec 1767 age 21 thus she was born between Dec 1745 and Dec 1746. She was listed as being 20 years old when she arrived in the Fishing Creek area in 1768/9 which would make her born 1748/9. Averaging both birth dates would make her estimated birth date 1747.
The earliest she could be married would be Jan 1768. Her first child was Anna who was the first named in her will.
