Alick was a footballer, playing for Norwood in the South Australian National Football League. He won the Margery Medal during his career. He played centre and represented Norwood in three grand finals. He retired in 1931 after playing 123 games for the side.
Alick & Evelyn were married in the Clayton Congregational Church in Norwood, South Australia.
Alick enlisted in the armed forces in WW2 on 30th May 1940. He and Annie were living at 1 Cleland Ave Dulwich at the time. He was assigned to the 2/5 Aust Coy ASC and his army number was SX4118. He departed Australia aboard the Mauritania on 20th Oct 1940.
