The land grant of 100 acres cam e as part of the Richmond Military Settlement in Nov 1821 for the membe rs of the 99 Regiment in the War of 1812.   • Note: "Archibald Dewar and Margaret Gow in Blairmore had their son baptized P eter". The IGI has a Patric (commonly the same as Peter) christened in B alquhidder on 9 Mar 1800 with the mother's name being Ferguson, then a P eter christened in Comrie on 29 Nov 1800 also to Ferguson. Not sure why h er surname is Gow in this record. All the baptism entries with Ferguso n are entered sequentially on their respective pages but neither of the G ow are. They are squeezed in at a later date and according to Wilson qu oting Alexander, they never moved to Blairmore until 1808, long after t he entered dates. 4
