    RAYLE, Ga. - Benjamin Marshall Amason, 32, died about 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Centerville community.
    Wilkes County Sheriff Horace Lunceford said a neighbor found Mr. Amason dead of a shotgun wound on a farm where his family kept a herd of cattle.
    Mr. Amason was a native of Wilkes County, the son of Cornelius Amason and the late Ruth Cliatt Amason.
    He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church, a veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict.
    He was a farmer and cattleman and was associated with the Soil Conservation Service.
    Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Sue Callaway Amason of Rayle; one son, Billy Amason, and a daughter, Susan Amason, both of Rayle; father; one sister, Mrs. Sara A. Spivey of Atlanta; one brother, Neal Amason of Ft. Meade, Md.
    Funeral services will be conducted at the graveside in Sardis Baptist Church cemetery Monday at 2:30 p.m. by Rev. Bryan Edwards.
    Pallbearers will be Carl Adams, Austin Moore, Jr., Owen Callaway, William Lunceford, Webster Orr, and Bobby Randall.
