Therese on the 17th January 1814 married Josette Desjardins (born and baptised on the 6 August 1797 in Ste. Therese) also a resident of this parish, eldest daughter of Amable-Jean Dedsjardins, farmer, and Louise Payet of the same parish.They were married with the agreement of their parents and in the presence of Francois Graton, father, Francois Graton, brother of the groom, Amable-Jean Desjardins, father, Pierre Desjardins, brother of the bride and before the other parents and many friends, some of whom signed others, including the married couple, declared that they did not know how to write.
