Robert Frank Prock, 90 of Wilburton died Monday April 27, 2009 at his home.
Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2009 at Jones-Harkins Funeral Home Chapel in Wilburton, Oklahoma, with Scott Elliott presiding. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Military Honors provided by Ft. Sill Honor Guard.
Pallbearers will be: Dale Bettes, Jr., John Cook, Joe Paul Hackworth, Earl Jeffrey, Robert Prock and Charles White. Honorary Pallbearer will be Leland Walker.
Frank was born October 31, 1918 in Cedars, Oklahoma to Robert Derb and Ethel Jane Prock. Frank served in the U.S. Army during WWII from March 1942 to January 1946 during which he traveled to France, Germany, the Philippines and Japan; he loved his country. Frank was married to Mazel Martin on December 30, 1952 in McAlester, Oklahoma. Frank worked two years as a Latimer Co. Deputy Sheriff in the late 1950's, and was elected Latimer County Court Clerk from 1961-1987 when he retired. Frank's first love was his Lord. He served as an elder, deacon, and song leader of the Wilburton Church of Christ. Throughout his life, he was a devoted Christian man and an example for all to follow.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Lester, Jack, Bill, and Floyd and sister Mildred.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-six years, Mazel Martin Prock of the home, daughter and son-in-law; Carolyn Prock Miller and John Miller of Claremore, Oklahoma, sons Jerry F. Prock of San Diego, California and Jimmy D. Prock of Los Angeles, California, granddaughters and grandson-in-law Kate Miller Turnbough and Tyler Turnbough of Collinsville, Oklahoma and Allison J. Miller of Stillwater, Oklahoma, brothers Jim S. Prock of Cedars, Oklahoma, and Brutus Prock of Dewey, Oklahoma, sisters Irene Prock Bahr and Imogene Prock Sardis both of Midwest City, Oklahoma, and several nieces and nephews.
