    Samuel and William (sons of John) Saxon were listed as freeholders of land in St. Pauls Parish of New Kent Co. along with Charles Yancey. St. Paul's Vestry book page 256 dated.10/10/1719.
    William Sexton listed as processioner in St. Paul's Parish.Wm Sexton/S.Sexton/C Yancey freeholder. 8/10/1719 Vestry book St. Paul's Parish, Hanover Co, VA 1706-1786 page 256.

    Samuel A. Saxon 1699-1766 New Kent, VA believed to have married a Miss Yancey about 1717. "Martin and Allied Families" by Lillie M. Grubs.

    1729-Samuel Saxon was listed as having adjoining land to Charles Yancey and John Daniel in Hanover Co, VA Patent book 13, page 411 9/27/1729.

    1735-Samuel Saxon & Charles Yancey still neighbors. Vol. 21, page 61 William & Mary Quarterly Hanover Co., VA.

    1735-Samuel Saxon listed as being adjacent to Acheleus Yancey's, son of Charles Yancey, horsepen & also adjacent to Garland in St. Martin, Hanover Co, VA. Vol 21, page 61, William & Mary Quarterly (7/3/1735).

    1738-Samuel Saxon was in Edgecombe Co, NC where he purchased 250 acres of land from John and Sarah Patterson on the South side of the Morotock (Roanoke) River. NC Registry Book 1, p.327 Halifax Co, NC dated 2/19/1738. adj Killingsworth/Smith/Melton.

    1748 Samuel and Mary Saxon sold 100 acres on the S. side of Morattock (Roanoke) River for 20 lbs to Thomas Green, son of William and brother in law of Benjamine Saxon. wit. Benjamine Saxon(Samuel's son), Hugh Hardy, son-in-law of Samuel Saxon, and John Green brother of Thomas Green. NC Hallifax Registry Book 3, p.260 dated 8/18/1748.

    Samuel and Mary Saxon sold 150 acres at the mouth of Spring Branch to Joshua Tatum. This land joining Killingsworth, Weldon, James Smith and Samuel Saxon, where the said Joshua now lives. NC Halifax Registry Book 4, page 389 dated 2/17/1753.
    Samuel and Mary Saxon purchased 330 acres on the West side of Elk swamp from Jacob and Mary Whitehead. The land ajoined the mouth of Little branch Bear marsh, Beaverdam Swamp and Piney Island. NC Halifax Registry book 4, page 451 dated 12/20/1753 (80 lbs stearling) wit. I Edwards/R Brinkley.
    Samuel Saxon was received a Granetville grant for 510 acres on the South side of Marsh Swamp above Brewer's Ford. NC Halafax Registry Book 2, page 336 dated 4/30/1754.
    Samuel and Mary Saxon sold 200 acres to George Pace on the South side of Elk marsh for 10 lbs with Samuel Saxon (Jr.) as a witness. NC Halifax Registry Book 6 page 225 dated 2/24/1757 wit. L Atkins/Samuel Saxon.
    Samuel and Mary Saxon sold 180 acres on the West side of Elk marsh to their son Charles Saxon for 90 lbs NC Halifax Registry Book 5, page 235 dated 11/14/1757 wit. H Hardy/D Weldon/B Pope.
    Samuel and Mary Saxon bought 200 acres of land on Burnt Coat Swamp from Michael Wallace. Charles Saxon Jacob Yansey and John M_______ as witnesses. 3/5/1758.

    1758 Charles Saxon witnessed deed to Samuel Saxon from M. Wallace 200 acres for 60# Halifax Co, NC. 3/5/1758 Halifax Register Book 6, page 316. wit Charles Saxon & Jacob Yancey (Land on Burnt Swamp).

    county aforesaid being in perfesct good Health thanks be to almighty God for
    the same and Knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and
    ordain this to be my Last Will and testament as follows that is to say first
    of all I give my soul to god that gave it me and my Body to the Earth to be
    buried in a Decent Like and Christian Like manner at the Discretion of my
    executors and as for my worldly Estate that God has has been pleased to bestow
    upon me my will and Desire is that it may be Divided in manner and form as
    follows That is to say___ Item I give to my Beloved son Benjamin Saxon Six
    pounds to be paid after my Mary Saxon Desease___ Item I give to my beloved Daughter Bethiah N---s twenty five pounds to be paid after my wife Mary Saxon?s Desease-____

    if John Saxon should die before he is married or before the age of Twenty
    Years old My Will is that his Estate should be Equal Devided Between all his
