    The smaller boat on the left was owned by Frank Cockwell, and the larger boat was owned by Len Bailey and Ed Morrison and was called the 'Teddy-Len .' The boats were used for commercial fishing and operated out of Meldrum Bay.

    WILLIAM NORMAN LEONARD BAILEY
    BAILEY, William Norman Leonard - a resident of the Brodie Nursing Home, Fruitland, passed away Thursday, October 11, 1990, at the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby at the age of 85 years. He was born in Evansville, son of the late Donald Bailey and the former Etta Harper. He was a fisherman and a school bus driver. Dear father of one son, Leonard, and daughter-in-law Vera Bailey of Grimsby, and lovingly remembered by three grandchildren, Michael, Karen and Mark, and eight great grandchildren. Dear brother of Gertrude Bailey of Gore Bay. His wife, Gertrude Lavia Bailey, predeceased in March of 1990. Visitors were received at the Meldrum Bay United Church on Saturday from 3-4 p.m. The funeral service was conducted at the church on Saturday at 4 pm with Mr. Erwin Thompson officiating. Interment in Meldrum Bay Cemetery.

      Congratulations to Len and Gertrude Bailey of Meldrum Bay, Ontario, who celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary at a dinner in the Motor Beacon Inn at Jordon, Ontario, October 13, 1987. Those attending were Leonard and Vera Bailey, grandchildren, Mike and Debbie, Karen, Don, Mark, and Sue. They also have eight great-grandchildren who had lunch earlier in the day with them. Len and Gertrude were married in Gore Bay, November 23, 1927.
