    Accidents Last week Involve Four Citizens (handwritten Nov 56)
    Calvin Campbell broke his collar bone and cut the side of his head when his car went off the road one and a half miles east of Kagawong, at 5 a.m. last Tuesday.
    He claimed that he was crowded off the road by an oncoming car with very bright lights. His vehicle suffered about $50 damage.
    Edgar Addison of Silver Water was thrown out of his truck as it rolled over twice after colliding with a gravel truck driven by Norman Collins of Sheguiandah at 12.30 p.m. last Wednesday. Although Addison was bruised and shaken up he was not seriously hurt. His companion Pete Edmonds and Collins escaped without injury.
    The trucks collided about eight miles west of Silver Water in the crest of a sharp hill. Damages were about $800 for Addison and $500 for Collins. Charges are pending.

    In loving memory of Calvin Detlor Campbell, May 12,1933 - March 26, 2005.
    Calvin Campbell a resident of Sudbury, died at his home on Saturday, March 26, 2005 at the age of 71 years. He was born in Gore Bay, son of the late Colin and Hilda (Bailey) Campbell. Calvin worked for the Manitoulin District Hydro and then 30 years as a heavy equipment operator for the Ministry of Transportation and also as a mechanic and enjoyed construction and building. He was a volunteer for the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the John Howard Society and a member of the Lions Club. Calvin was a devoted Maple Leafs fan and coached baseball and ringette. He was a companion to Monique Gauthier. Loving and loved father of Robert (Lorna) of Brampton, Brenda (Kevin) Johnstone of Stratford, Kathy (Perry) Kayes of Sudbury, Patsy (Dave) Lindsay of Sudbury, Tom (Connie) of Val Caron. Former husband of Jean Marlene White. Proud grandpa of Angela (Scott), John (Barbie), Cynthia, Cassandra, Michael, McKenna, Shannon (Paul) and Stephanie (David). Great grandpa of Keanan, Aiden and Liam. Dear brother of Hazel Lanktree of Providence Bay. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and friends. Predeceased by two grandchildren, Ashley and Brian Johnstone, sisters Minnie Patterson, Verna Carr, Irene McQuarrie, Ruby Haigh and brothers Percy, John, and Wallace. Friends called at the Culgin Funeral Home on Wednesday from 7 - 9 pm. The funeral service was conducted in the Wm. G. Turner Chapel on Thursday March 31, 2005 at 11 am with Pastor Erwin Thompson officiating. Spring interment Gordon Cemetery. If so desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the John Howard Society would be appreciated. Friends also called on Friday evening from 6 - 8 pm at the home of Kathy and Perry Kayes for a time of remembrance.
