    JAMES M. KEITH being called as a witness in his own behalf in support of h omestead entry No. 16375, for:
    West 1/2 of SE Quarter and East 1/2 of SW Quarter, Section 20, Townsh ip No 7N, Range No. 16W.

    Question 1 - What is your name, written in full and correctly spelled,
    your age, and post office address?
    Answer 1 - James Madison Keith, age -- years, Geneva, Geneva County,
    Question 2 - Are you a native of the United States, or have you been
    Answer 2 - I am a native.
    Question 3 - When was your house built on the land when did you establish
    residence therein? (Describe said house and other improvements which you
    have placed on the land, giving total value thereof.)
    Answer 3 - On June 1878. And I established actual residence thereon same
    date. 1 log dwelling, 1 meat, 1 corn houses, acres cleared, value $150.00.
    Question 4 - Of whom does your family consist; and have you and your
    family resided continuously on the land since first establishing
    residence thereon? (If unmarried, state the fact.)
    Answer 4 - Wife and 7 children. We have resided continuously thereon.
    Question 5 - For what period or periods have you been absent from the
    homestead since making settlement, and for what purpose; and if
    temporarily absent, did you family reside upon and cultivate the land
    during such absence?
    Answer 5 - No period.
    Question 6 - How much of the land have you cultivated and for how many
    seasons have you raised crops thereon?
    Answer 6 - 20 acres, have cultivated it 6 years.
    Question 7 - Are there any indications of coal, salines, or minerals of
    any kind on the land?
    Answer 7 - No.
    Question 8 - Have you ever made any other homestead entry?
    Answer 8 - No.
    Question 9 - Have you sold conveyed, or mortgaged any portion of the
    land; and if so, to whom and for what purpose?
    Answer 9 - No.
