    Jos. FewSmith, Sr., apparently combined the Few and the Smith names inthe early 1800's.

    He was a prominent Philadelphia grain merchant who also had afarm,"Graisbury" ouside of Haddo nfield, NJ. He died in 1860 and is inColeston as is Alice Browning Doughten.

    The Smith's of Burlington came to America in the 1680's with the firstsettlers there and ther e is a book, I have, privately published, which iscalled the Burlington Smith's.

    I also have the family bible with births and deaths listed from 1680 tothe last entry for th e above Jos. Few Smith

    The Smith's were also related to the Marshall's (some Marshall births anddeaths in the bible ) one of whom was James who later discovered gold atSutters Mill in Ca. in 1848.
