      Text: ELIZABETH SEYMOUR, daughter and heiress, born about 1406 (aged 16 in 1422). She married before 1421 THOMAS BERKELEY, of Tickenham, Somerset, and, in right of his wife, of Welham, Leicestershire, possibly younger son of John Berkeley, Knt., of Beverstone, Gloucestershire (descendant of King John), by his 2nd wife, Elizabeth, daughter and heiress of John de Betteshorne, Knt. [see FISHER 9 for her ancestry]. They had one son, John, Esq., and one daughter, Cecily. THOMAS BERKELEY died in 1443. His widow, Elizabeth, died in 1446.
