    George Scandrett b. 1834; d. 1915; youngest son of Jacob Scandrett and
    Alice Stalford, emigrated to Australia and then sailed to New Zealand
    on the "Green Jacket" about 1860. Shortly after his arrival he settled
    on a farm in partnership with John Braithwaite at Mullet Point and
    named it "Lisadian".
    George Scandrett's future wife Helena Dillon and her sister Isabella
    Dillon arrived in NZ on the "Blue Jacket" on 22 Jan 1861. Prior to
    this on 7th March 1859, Helena and Isabella's brother Patrick Edwin
    Dillon and sister Mary Jane Dillon arrived in NZ on the "John Scott"
    and shortly after the other sister Maria Dillon came to NZ, vessel
    unknown.
    Isabella Dillon married John Braithwaite on 29 Jul 1861.
    Patrick Edwin Dillon married Elizabeth Edye (1st wife) on 29 August
    1861, and Suzanne Logan (2nd wife) in 1885.
    Mary Jane Dillon married James Norton on 9 Jan 1864.
    Helena Dillon married George Scandrett on 31st (sic.) May 1864.
    Maria Dillon married Henry Nelson Garland on 7 Feb 1870

    George and Helena settled on the farm "Lisadian" at Mullet Point and
    on retirement the farm was owned by their second son Thomas Henry
    Scandrett and his wife Lucy Susie Scandrett (nee Driver).
    Lucy Susie retained ownership when Thomas Henry died and eventually
    sold out to her first and second sons George Henry Scandrett and
    Raymond Renshaw Scandrett. (Renshaw was Lucy Susie Driver's mother's
    maiden name).
    George and Raymond bought Goldsworthy's Bay and the north half of
    Martin's Bay in 1942 which took the farm to 280 acres.

      sister of the bride, Mrs Mary Norton, William Street, Auckland, Mr
      George Scandrett of Kilwarlin near Moira, Ireland to Miss Helena
      Dillon, daughter of Anthony Dillon, Garrett Rose, Magheralin, County
      Down, Ireland. In the presence of Mrs Mary Jane Norton and Mr Patrick
      Edwin Dillon, sister and brother of the bride."
