  • ID: I00019
  • Name: Thomas Hornibrook
  • Sex: M
  • Birth: 30 NOV 1821 in Rockfort House,Cork Co., Ireland
  • Death: 23 OCT 1889 in Heidelberg, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
  • Note:
I am attaching records of their marriage & of Thomas' death. It would seem that Thomas spent 13 years in NZ before he came to Australia to live for a further 11 years. If this is correct, he would have arrived in NZ 2 years before his son Henry Pierce did. Also, it records that his first wife died in 1861 & that they had 5 children - 2 of whom died. The 3 surviving children would have been 10, 11 & 14 years old when their mother died & only 4 years older when their father took off for NZ....hard to get my head around that!
