Morris succeeded Matthew Freywer in the command of the Government cutter Wilhelmina in 1813. She was 60 tons burthen. It is interesting to find that in April, 1816, the Wilhelmina called at port Mullaittivu.
In 1816 Morris was appointed to the Government brig(antine) Hebe, and was succeeded by N. Onetto. The Wilhelmina was advertised for sale on September 11, 1817,
The Hebe was advertised for sale, "as she now lays with all her stores", in the Colombo Roads at the end of 1818.
