    Katherine Bradley Mouzon, 80, died Sunday, February 8, 1998, at UNC Memorial Hospital, due to cancer. The daughter of George and Mary Bradley, she was born on May 1, 1917, in Forest City, North Carolina.

    Ms. Mouzon received her A.B. from Greensboro College in 1938 and did her graduate study in zoology and botany at Duke University. In 1947 she received her B.S. in library science from the University of North Carolina. For 12 years she served on the Board of Trustees of Lake Junaluska Methodist Assembly. She also served as a tour guide for the North Carolina Botanical Garden and served on the Board of Herbarium of the UNC Biology Department. She had been employed as a music cataloger at the UNC Library and as a government documents cataloger with Duke University Library. Ms. Mouzon was an active member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church where she worked with the music program and held various church positions such as being on the Board of Trustees, Administrative Board, Worship Commission and Choir Director.

    She is pre-deceased by her husband, Olin T. Mouzon, Professor of Economics, UNC.

    Survivors are her two nieces Mrs. Elizabeth Mouzon Butterfield of Rockville, MD, and Miss Margaret Mouzon of Ann Arbor, MI.

    Memorial services will be held on Thursday, February 12th, at 11:00 a.m. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 632 Laurel Hill Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27514.

    Arrangements are by the Cremation Society of the Carolinas, Inc., Raleigh.
