Left Pennsylvania and was in Rowan County, N.C. by 1756.
In 1754, he was constable. He purchased 440 acres of land from John Peassenger & wife Magdalene next to David Jones' tract of land at Elisha Creek (Rowan County).
Christolph Baup/Baap/Bup's , birth date of 1712 in Ispringen, Baden, Germany has been estimated. He gave his age as 35 when he sailed on The Snow Fox, which would have made his birth date 1703. If the latter date is correct, then he would have been the oldest son, not the second son of Phillip Jacob Baup. This family settled in York County, Pennsylvania, but after mention of him is made as one of the immigrants on the ship we have no further information.
