    II. Dougald Cameron b. Jan 5, 1784, Scotland, d. Feb 14, 1867, m. Barbara Morris b. Nov 1, 1793, d. May 5, 1849. He entered a tract of about 800 acres of land south of the Upper Little River. Swann Station was located on this tract when the railroad was built. They had twelve children:

    A. John M. Cameron b. Sep 19, 1814, d. Dec 8, 1889, m. Sally Morris b. Aug 12, 1829, d. Mar 5, 1921, daughter of "Big Jim" Morris. Their five children are traced by J. B. Cameron.

    B. Alexander M. Cameron b. Aug 13, 1818, d. Dec 4, 1872, m. Susan Stone b. Oct 11, 1818, d. Jun 3, 1889. They had nine children, traced by J. B. Cameron.

    C. Daniel Cameron b. Feb 22, 1829, d. Oct 16, 1877, m. Kate Dalrymple, and had three children, traced by J. B. Cameron.

    D. Allen M. Cameron b. Mar 25, 1836, d. Apr 4, 1909, m. Sarah C. McLean b. Aug 31, 1834, d. May 2, 1911. They had eight children, traced by J. B. Cameron.

    E. Hugh Cameron b. 1825, d. Feb 19, 1857, m. Mary Buie of Moore county, and lived on Juniper Creek near St. Andrews Church. they had two children, traced by J. B. Cameron.

    F. Dougald C. Cameron Jr. b. Nov 19, 1838, d. Jun 30, 1863. He is buried in the "May Plot" near Swann Station on the Ora McKeithan property. No further information.

    G. Barbara Cameron b. Mar 24, 1827, m. Spence Edwards. They had one daughter, traced by J. B. Cameron.

    H. Nancy Cameron m. William Morris. They had two sons and several daughters.

    I. Jennet Cameron b. Sep 17, 1824, d. Feb 23, 1897, m. John P. May. He had been found an infant on the doorsteps of a Dalrymple family near Jonesboro (present Lee County, North Carolina, originally part of Moore County). It was never known who he was. He was raised by the Dalrymples and named John (after a member of the family) and May (because of the month in which he was found). After John May had reared his family for some years, he disapperared and was never heard of again. They had four children.

    J. Mary A. Cameron b. Sep 17, 1824, d. Jun 9, 1893, m. William Thomas b. Jun 12, 1818, d. Jun 20, 1885. They had five children.

    K. Sarah Cameron d. Oct 26, 1889, m. Henry Gales and had children.

    L. Catherine Cameron; no information.
