My note: There seemed to be some confusion as to Mr. H. J/F/D Koethe midd le initial. Sometimes he is "H. J." and sometimes he is "H. J." and oth er times I've seen "H. D.". I have no idea which is correct at this tim e. I typed the document exactly as it was given to me.
The BOBBIE KOETHE mentioned in his grandfather's Will was a "mino r" at the time of JOHN HERMANN KOETHE's death August 1932. BOBBIE was ROB ERT LOUISE KOETHE, son of Fred KOETHE and wife Mabel DAUGHTRY. He was t he only grandchild listed in HERMAN's will. (updated 21 August 2012)
HERMAN KOETHE, year 1890, occupation "laborer", address is list ed as 99 Dawson Alley, A in: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania City Directories, 1 888-1892. Neither HERMAN nor HERMANN KOETHE is found in the 1890 Pennsylv ania Census at this time.
"HERMANN KOETHE" immigrated from the port of Bremen, Germany to New Yo rk (July 24, 1871) on the Ship Deutschland (port of New York) with his fat her, mother and siblings. Many other Koethe's immigrated at different tim es and settled in Texas, Indiana, Wisconsin, etc.

Miscellaneous KOETHE info:
HUGO KOETHE, physician, shows up with HERMAN KOETHE a few times. HUGO K OETHE (age 14, b. about 1854) immigrated from Grossen, Germany to New Yo rk in 1868 on the Ship Deutschland (port of New York) with LOUIS KOETHE (a ge 33, b. about 1835). This LOUIS KOETHE was probably HUGO's father. LOU IS could possibly be CHRISTIAN's brother, uncle or close cousin? Also, Hu go Koethe's occupation is listed as "Barber" in 1870 Allegheny Count y, PA Census Records. HUGO is later listed then a "Physician" in 1890 N ew Hampshire Census Records.
