    "Joshua Pension Record from former widow Phebe Fairchild Northrop Atwood Blackman, Phebe's dau Anna Clark 3rd child submitted letter. Later Phebe lived with dau Betsy Atwood at Waterbury, CT. Phebe's last husband was Reuben Blackman. Joshua "Served in the Susquehanna".
    Joshua served as private in Jan 1779 to Dec 31, 1781 2nd regiment ct under Col Herman swift. At the time he entered was a resident of Newbury, CT in the town of Newtown (later Brookfield) married Aug 12, 1783 at Newbury Congregational Society after his discharge. He died Dec 12, 1803. later Phebe married John Atwood (died 1821) then married Reuben Blackman ( died April 29, 1834)
