"The ancestry of the Hamiltons of Waterborough is traced in a direct male line from Bernard, a Norman baron, through his Norman, English, Scotch and American descendants to the time of their settlement in Massabesick Plantation in the last quarter of the eighteenth century, as shown by the following descending line compiled from the most reliable sources in the history of these nations."

Text: Anastasia S. Carlton.
She appears to be the older sister of my g-grandfather David H. Carlton. After she marries Timothy Ricker, their first son is George S. born probably Dec 1852, as he and Luella are listed on the 1860, DeKalb County, Illinois census next door to her brother David Carlton and his wife Phebe and baby. They also show Anastasia and David's youngest brother Jefferson Carlton, 14, living with them. 1860 census M653_173 pg 149 Image 150
