    Ann Cook only wife of John Collins, accord to Mr. Dorman's book.
    But so far I've compiled an earlier sister Susanna Cook as per gary Ryan

    to notice:

    marrying into brother and sister Cook, kids of Thomas Cook:

    COLLINS of VA to KY sources:
    I've only had time to post general summaries of Mrs. Hanks' documentary
    sources.
    I'll try to list some more specific documents here, but I'm only a data entry
    person; so you'd find out much more by writing to Virginia Hanks 908 E. Seattle
    Ave, Ellensburg WA 98926-3917 :
    Her specific SOURCE (1):
    page 112 of newletter "Calling All Collins-Collings" Second Quarter 1994 where
    Sue Nite Raguzin begins: "Barbee Collins (4 Jan 1774 - 15 jun 1843) was born in
    Albemarle Co VA and died in Franklin Co. TN, buried in Keith Family Cem., on
    Bean's Crk., Franklin Co. TN. His parents were Thomas Collins II and his first
    wife Nancy Ann 'Abby' Garland. Barbee [Collins] was married 24 Jun 1795
    Madison Co. KY to Mary Woods..." two of Barbee Collin's children are compiled
    as having middle names GARLAND.
    ---------------------------------
    Her specific source (2): Spotsylvania County Records by Crozier [see below for
    perhaps a more accurate citation]. I happened to xerox page 192 of that book
    but that isn't probably the most relevant page.
    ------------------------------------
    Her specific source (3): Orange County, Virginia Families by William
    Everett/Everette Brockman page 32 onward. and 2 other Orange Co. VA books by
    same author.

    Virginia County Records by Crozier, Vol. 1, on Spotsylvania Co. VA [many

    Collins b. 1781 son of John b. ca 1755 who died Jefferson Co. TN , son of
    Edward Collins ca. 1729 -1818 and Jane Jones.;

    GOOD: W.Forsythe posted the Childers sisters' compilation because those results
    were the most difficult ancestral linkages I've ever personally experienced
    someone discovering by perseverance. Most of their ancestors in the colonial
    south were so dirt poor that they never owned land; so the family linkages were
    discovered e.g. by stock brand records etc. of what ear notches meant the horse
    was owned by which poor farmer. I (Forsythe) wrote a colonial article in
    National Genealogical Society Quarterly 84 (1996): 182-199, but some of the
    Childers sisters' research is way beyond the family difficulties I ever faced;

    The best way is to write to the postal mail addresses below,as long as they are

    email the " computerizer" of this database, Mr. Forsythe--and he'll try to
    convey your message to Mrs. Kunz or Mrs. Hanks.;
