    I was researching Benjamin Childers again this evening afterfinding a burial location for his brother earlier today.  So, I thought Iwould pass the information I found along to you.
     
    One of the newspaper articles may or may not be our Benjamin. The one article about a Rose Childers may or may not be our Rose. The other articles do pertain to our Benjamin Childers.
     
     
    Rose Childers was arrested yesterday at her home at Ninth and Atchisonstreets, and taken before Justice Weaver charged with disturbing the peace ofSarah A. Jackson by quarreling and fighting. She entered a plea of not guiltyand gave bond in the sum of $200 for her appearance for trial March(unreadable).

    Judge Mitchell had before him Ben Childers, a one-armed man,charged with assault and battery upon the persons of Homer Byrd and Louis Main.He pleaded guilty and was fined $1 and costs in each case, with a stay ofexecution till November 1.

    The mother of Lewis Main, who was yesterday sentenced to threemonths in the county jail for being implicated with Ben Childers in chickenstealing appeared at the Central station in the afternoon and claimed to be theowner of the fowls found in Childers" possession when he was arrested.Sergeant Henry had previously received an order from Judge Culver to turn overthe chickens to another claimant and did so.
