    Rites Wednesday At Edina For Jennie Gunnell
    Jennie Delilah Gunnell, 84, of New York, N. Y., formerly of the Greensburg community, died at 12:30 Saturday morning in a hospital in New York where she had been a patient one week.  Born near Greensburg on Feb. 8, 1887, she was the daughter of John and Lydia Hathaway Pettit. On Nov. 23, 1910 she was married to James Gunnell who preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 1921. Also preceding her in death were four brothers and five sisters.  Surviving are one son, James Lynn Gunnell of Windsor, Conn,; four grandchildren, Mrs. Roland (Jane Lynn) Monserrett, James Arthur Gunnell, Linda Pearl Gunnell and Gregory Guy Gunnell; five great-grandchildren and one sister, Kathryn Pettit of the Bronx, N. Y.  Mrs. Gunnell lived in Connecticut before moving to New York.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at ten o'clock in Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina with the Rev. Barbara Barnett of Edina, officiating. Burial will be in the Greensburg Cemetery.

    GUNNELL. Pearl Josephine (Sanderson) Gunnell, widow of James Lynn Gunnell, entered into rest Saturday (May 31, 1997). She was born on Oct. 10, 1911 in New Bedford, MA, and had lived in Windsor for 45 years and was a summer resident of Crystal Lake, Ellington, for 48 years. She was employed at Battistons Dry Cleaners in Windsor. Along with her husband, she was a member of American Legion of Stafford Springs. She was a member of the Windsor Senior Citizens and was a communicant of St. Gertrude Church, Windsor. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Claire and M. Allen Lawrence of East Hartford and Linda and Frederick Corliss of Castleton, VT; a son, Gregory Gunnell of Windsor; a sister, Bernice Sanderson of Arizona; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. she was predeceased by a brother and three sisters. Family and friends may gather Tuesday, 8:45 a.m. at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 9:30 a.m., in St. Gertrude Church. Burial will be in Windsor Veteran Memorial Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Humane Society of Connecticut, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, 06066.
