I was perusing the 1940 census to hopefully clear up some mysteries in some
Childers related families when I ran across a great granddaughter of William
Perry Goldsberry. Her name is Georgia May Hendrick and she is the daughter of
Pauline Mae Goldsberry and William Lacy Hendrick. Pauline is he daughter of
Walter Scott Goldsberry who is the son of William Perry Goldsberry. You can see
all of this at the following URL:
I knew about Georgia but her first marriage ended within a few years and I lost
her. She remarried, lived a full life, then passed away recently, allowing at
least one person who knew her to post some information on the Internet. Among
that information are some very nice images of some members of her ancestors.
I suspect Virginia would enjoy seeing the images of:
William Perry Goldsberry
Isabell Adora Scott
Elsie Mae Goldsberry
Walter Scott Goldsberry
Georgia May Hendrick
Anita Marie Mikolavich
Even though I lived in and researched extensively in Portland for a number of
years I lost track of some of the folks above, primarily because of multiple
marriages and the fact that the Oregon Marriage Index was not available unless
one traveled to Salem and researched the index in-person. Last week I found
several new marriages and a possible third marriage for Walter Scott Goldsberry
just before he committed suicide, but at this time the record is merely a
telephone book record. Further research is necessary.
Anyway, I was very excited to find this new information. I made a feeble
attempt to discover the owner of all these images but cannot make the
connection unless she is an Isabell Adora Scott descendant.
That is all for now Tuck.
Please say hello to Virginia. I continue to use the wonderful Childers outline
she graciously sent to me many years ago to extend my Childers research.
