    BELLEVILLE - Dean G. Stuck, 69, of Belleville, went into the loving arms of Jesus Sunday evening, June 20, 2010, surrounded and embraced by his wife, children and grandchildren after a long and difficult battle with ALS, Lou Gehrig's disease.

    Born December 23, 1940, in Rockville, Belleville, he was a son of the late Rush G. Stuck, Sr. and A. Mildred (Crownover) Stuck.

    He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gloria J. (Wagner) Stuck, of Belleville, four children, Holly J. Brower and husband Terry, of Lewistown, Joyce A. Jumper and husband Jeffrey, of Burnham, Scott T. Stuck and fiance Nancy Dull, of Petersburg, and Gregory Dean Stuck and wife Crystal, of Lewistown, as well as grandchildren, Amy Miller, Jennifer Hubler, James Dean Jumper, Christa Tate, Lauren Stuck, Scott Stuck, Jr., Dara Parks, Ashley Stuck, and Bailey Dean Stuck, and great-grandchildren, Taryn and Tatum Miller, Raegan Hubler, Novaleigh Page, Blayden Jumper, and Deegan and Gracee Tate, his mother-in-law, Goldie J. Wagner, of Belleville; a sister, Thelma Byler and a brother Kenn Stuck, both of Lewistown, and his beloved and faithful companion, Tucker.

    Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, and three brothers, Rush G. Stuck, Jr., Glen P. Stuck, and Neil G. Stuck.

    Dean was a 1958 graduate of Kishacoquillas High School. He went to work at Sperry New Holland that same year, and was there until his retirement in 1997. He was a founding member and President of the ODDS & ENDS hunting camp on Stone Mountain. He enjoyed hunting with his sons, grandsons, brothers, and extended family. He was an avid fan of the Phillies, Eagles, and Penn State sports teams and had loved to play baseball and softball. He had served as a deputy warden for the Pennsylvania Game Commission. He loved racing his yellow #44 at the Port Royal Raceway.

    A funeral service will be held in his honor at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 2010, at Baggus Funeral Home, Belleville with Pastors Harold Sharp and Dennis Sproull officiating.

    His family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family at Machpelah Cemetery, Belleville.
