Note: Ian was a tall gentle man who had a quiet warm disposition. He was always pleased to see his brothers and sisters when they came home for visits and wrote letters to them in between visits. He loved driving and always had a car until his Parkinson's disease made it impossible to drive. During the 1940s, '50s and early '60s he would load his car with fresh eggs and chickens every Friday and deliver them to his customers in Rothesay, NB. He was the first farmer in the area to build a very large chicken house (the poutry could still run around and were not penned up in cages!). He attended the Anglican church with his wife and, whenever the service at the United Church was at a different time, he would join his parents at that service. He had his parents stay at his farm during the last few winters of his dad's life.
